We moved to Portland about a year ago, but we've taken several trips to Seattle and think we may like it there better there. What are some of the main differences that make you think one or the other is better?

My friend's grandma lives in Hendersonville so we are staying there, but I have never been to Asheville. I hear the vibes there are great so let me in on some little secrets if you know any. Drum circles, concerts, art exhibits, festivals or the like. Thanks.

I'm going to Disneyworld (i'm thinking the main one, then epcot, then animal kingdom [ignoring MGM and the water ones], then leaving on a 4 day weekday Royal Carribean cruise.

Should I drive 4 hours from Orlando to Miami or drive 1 hour from Orlando to Cape Caneveral to depart on the cruise. The thing is I'll have 1.5 days after I return from the cruise to have fun, i'm assuming Miami is more fun (South Beach), but Cape Canaveral is a lot closer, and I could go back to Disneyworld that way.

Any thoughts? Please help! Thanks

Cities such as St. Louis, Kansas City, and Des Moines.

I'm considering a move to St. Louis and I'm from the Northeast where you never hear of tornadoes passing through anywhere near here...

I have no idea what they do in those big tornado alley-cities like St. Louis in case of a tornado emergency.

is it safe???

I am from California and am planning on going to North Carolina. I I have had Southern friends all my life and am slightly conservative and a Christian. I have been to D.C., Baltimore, Florida and Louisiana. If I visit North Carolina or that general area would there be any cultural "shocks" I need to be aware of now, or "deal-killers" that might prevent me from being able to adjust to life in the Tarheel State if I move there? Thanks.

Do you have to stay at the Manadalay Bay hotel in order to have access to their pool/beach? In other words, do they sell tickets separately for people who just want to use their beach? (I couldn't find anything in the internet)
