Going to New York and Long Island next week, for a week, want to fit in as much as possible, looking for eating, sightseeing, shopping and clubbing ideas (or anything else) that might be a little out of the ordinary or I might not find without your help... PLEASE?

I just want to know who love the east coast like I do because I'm there and I'm bias too. Also I love the east coast women aggressive and straight forward. Don't get me wrong I like southern women but there slow and not on point. I love the east coast style, the urbanism, ethnics of people it's a melting pot. The east coast gets no better I can't imagine me living somewhere Barefoot Alabama no disrespect it's me. Who represents the east coast and loves it?

This seems like a tall order (relaxing and with a toddler?), but it's gotta be doable! Preferably with things that would interest both us and the kid and be within easy driving distance from San Diego, but far enough away that we feel like we're "getting away". (So no Sea World or Lego Land, please!)

I and my 12 year old son will be visiting NYC for just 3.5 days in mid December.
*He* wants to know how much chance there is it will snow.
*I* want to know what he and I can do in the evenings other than walk around looking at Christmas window decorations. Our daytime activity list has more on it than we can possibly do, but for the evening... nada. And I sure don't want to spend my first trip to NYC in 20 years just sitting in my room watching TV at night. Ok. MAYBE I can afford tix to a show one night, but everything else I've found to do at night doesn't appear to be age appropriate. Or requires the ability to withstand great cold!
Sadly, I'm also on a budget so I can't just throw money at the problem and we have four nights to fill.
Any good ideas?

I'm trying to get tickets to Raw at the Allstate Arena in Chicago on October 23rd 2006. I was on ticketmaster and I see that there is an internet presale. All it says is 'internet presale' , it doesn't say if you need a presale password.
