I do not smoke and I think the smoking bans are completely outragous. If you don't want to go to a restaurant that is smokey, find one that is smoke free. The problem is everyone expects the government to come in with all their beaurocratic idiocy and take care of them like the whiny infants they are.

If you enjoy smoke-free enviroments, then open your own business and don't allow smoking. Or just frequent one of the fine establishments that are smoke-free on their own account. Applebee's, Chilli's, Baker's Square, Denny's, etc all do just fine and they don't allow smoking (without a smoking ban.)

I hope so! It is so nice to walk into a restaurant and not have to worry about being seated next to people who are smoking. I even know smokers who agree with the ban! And it's not just cities - many states have enacted smoking bans, too. Some are more strict than others - I was at a college in NJ recently, and they don't allow smoking anywhere on campus except the parking lots!

Down south, where most of the cigarette companies and tobacco farms are, they probably won't have bans for a while.

Pennsylvania is going through the process of initiating a smoking ban. I doubt every state will go through it, because such states like Nevada keeps arcadic laws, and Louisianna usually does not confide with the other 49 states.

A smoking ban? Like its illigal to smoke in the US? That would suck. But what the hell, everything else is illigal, might as well let the gov rule us on another thing. ::Shrug::

They should just make it illegal, soon you wont be able to smoke in your own house. I don't like cigarette smoke either(I do not smoke) but just because I don't like it doesn't mean it should be a law that other cannot do it.

they would have to build more jails and that isn't cost effective. Smokers have rights also and thank you for holding your breath while I smoke.
