Long beach

There is an airport in Long Beach itself. I wouldn't call it "large" but major airlines fly out of it, so if you are traveling to Long Beach it's worth checking it out to see if there is a convenient flight into it.

The next closest in John Wayne in Orange County (some say Santa Ana, but locals ususally think of it as being in Newport Beach). It's good size, but is not international. It's a nice airport, and pretty easy to get in and out of and an easy drive to Long Beach. However, there are no flights after 10pm.

Then there's LAX, which I would avoid. It does have international flights, but it is huge and long lines will most likely await you. And traffic in the surrounding area is consistently awful.

That would be the Long Beach Airport (LGB). It has a number of domestic and international connections. If it's not large enough for you then I guess LAX (Los Angeles Airport) would be the closest.

LA International (LAX) about 20 minutes down 405. I have always flown into and out of LAX all the times I visited Long Beach for business.

Well there is Long Beach Airport, but LAX may be where you need to go depending on your time frame.

LAX is far larger than John Wayne(orange county)..far more non-stop flights to every where in the world...and it is equal distance from long beach........if you don't mind changing planes---fly right into Long Beach Airport--

The largest will be LAX. One can get a decent connection out of Long Beach though.

I would suggest: - Seal Beach - Lakewood - Los Alamitos - Cypress (kinda far, though) By the way, Los Alamitos High School has high ratings. They have had great teachers there. I'm pretty sure they have good elementary schools, too.

USE Los Angeles International , the oc one costs more they have a fee for using them which can make your cost 50 to 100$ more and extra taxes on your trip. lax is fast and not far~jsut go right up pch or 405 whichever you are closer to~ its a straight shot to and from... enjoy~
