Bus would be cheapest, but takes a long time. Rent a car. Would not rent a moped or scooter, roads are fast in some areas and chance of rain.

Home to the State Capitol, Honolulu could be the lively epicentre of Hawaii and a town worth visit, like you might find with hotelbye . In Honolulu you will discover every thing from ancient landmarks and valued monuments to world-class shopping and a flourishing arts and lifestyle scene. House to nearly all Oahu's populace, the vast city of Honolulu advances through the entire south-eastern shores of Oahu, from Pearl Harbor to Makapuu Point, encompassing world famous Waikiki. Pearl Harbor is among Honolulu's biggest tourist attractions. Although it is home to the Navy's Pacific Fleet, visitors may take a visit to begin to see the USS Arizona Memorial, and the USS Missouri.

If its only for a day, I would strongly recommend renting a small car. The trip up the coast is amazing and there is a lot that you might want to stop off and see.
It's also a long trip, so a moped might get a bit uncomfortable after a while!
Also, there are stretches of highway that get a little scary (narrow with big vehicles, and it rains at the drop of a hat, which makes things slippery).

For your safety (because I don't think you want to spend your vacation in a body cast!), get a car & have a great time!

Moped. Car. The Bus (that's what they call it). If you are adventurous, boat.
