I'm going to Disneyworld (i'm thinking the main one, then epcot, then animal kingdom [ignoring MGM and the water ones], then leaving on a 4 day weekday Royal Carribean cruise.
Should I drive 4 hours from Orlando to Miami or drive 1 hour from Orlando to Cape Caneveral to depart on the cruise. The thing is I'll have 1.5 days after I return from the cruise to have fun, i'm assuming Miami is more fun (South Beach), but Cape Canaveral is a lot closer, and I could go back to Disneyworld that way.
Any thoughts? Please help! Thanks

If have a day and a half after your cruise, it's definitly worth it to drive to Miami.
A visit to South Beach will definitly round out the trip.
South Floida has a very different feel than Orlando.
The driving time is approximately 4 hours. The drive offers some interesting Florida scenery, as well as a beautiful Everglades sunset if you depart at the right time of the day.
If you need transportation from Miami to Orlando, this bus can get you to South Beach for $35 -

I've always left from Port Canaveral because it's just a lot easier for me. I really wouldn't say Miami is more fun because close to Canaveral is Cocoa Beach, which to me is safer and just as much fun.

I came from Cape Canaveral to Miami...Its more fun here in Miami

I would leave from Caneveral. Miami is a pita to drive in, esp near the port. Also as you mentioned from you are only 1hr from disney. Also, you are not far from Daytona beach and of course the space museum at Caneveral.
