I'm volunteering for two weeks in an ecology conservation proyect, then two weeks of a tour through different places.
What's the weather like in May? I'm from Miami, is the heat the same?
Any important sites I shouldn't miss. How much money do I need to spend there.
Is it safe? How's the food?
I'm excited

Was wondering if you could offer me some advice.

I looking for any suggestions as to where would be a safe and nice place to take my 70 yr old father on vacation. I am a 35
yr old SWM from the USA. I was in Thailand (Pattaya) for the first time in March of 2005. It was the best vacation of my life. The
people were friendly and smiling. The food was excellent with a wide selection. Things were relatively cheap. The bars and stripclubs
were fun. Hotels weren't bad.

Here is the deal. Me and my 70 yr old father are overdue for a vacation. The
thing is I don't want my dad sitting in his hotel room at night while I go out and raise hell in Pattaya. My dad is not a drinker nor is he a horndog. I don't think he would be into the loud music, neon lights or wild women that Pattaya is famous for. I am seeking any suggestions for a more mellow, relaxing, safe, yet still has a variety of hotels, resturants and activities for both of us to do.

Thanks
D.

For those of you who have been to Bangkok, what places are there to visit? I kinda have the shopping places settled, but I'm not sure which other attractions are worth checking out. I need some major help. Any suggestions peeps?

I am looking for somewhere for me and 3 friends (irish lads 25-28) to spend 2 nights. We want it to be reasonably priced and near the action. Also we don't want to pay extra for bringing guests to our room.
Any ideas?

I was planning a trip to Thailand for a few weeks in June/July 2007. We were going to fly into Bangkok and travel immediately south to the beaches and into Malaysia, then back up to Bangkok for a day and fly home. With everything going on over there, I'm not quite sure what to do. Trying to get info on how this will affect me as a tourist, if I should still buy tickets, or if I should fly through somewhere else. Any suggestions?!?!
