I have to visit Bangkok in December. I am so worried because of the new military government and whether there could be any civil war or fights or panic situations.
Last year I visited there and I found Bangkok was very peaceful and It was one of best cities I have ever visted.
Can I visit there now with that assurance?
Dear Thai people, Can you please explain the situation there? Specially in Bangkok.
Thank you.

Can I just fly there and get in? And, if so - what sort of fee's will I have to pay? Entry fee's, etc? Thankyou, I'll hang up now and listen to your response.

Am going to Bangkok, Chang Mai, Chang Rai, and Phuket or Ko Ko Phi. Wondering if there will be curfews that will affect being able to see things like the Night Market in Bangkok, etc.

has anyone information on long term (retirement visa) discounts which hotels in northern or north east thailand will allow? i am trying to establish if renting an apartment is really cheaper in the long haul.........than haggling for a good hotel on a long term basis.
the amenities of a good hotel would, i assume, be better than an apartment complex......and any constructional problem would be the hotels, not mine
does anyone have experience of discounts that specific hotels have made in the past?
i am loooking to the northern regions.....or isaan....rather than bangkok or the south.

many thanks to all who reply.................
