I don't want to get ripped off, but i don't know the price of a bargin.
How much should I expect to pay for Sea Canoe, Elephant treking, ppara sailing, jet skiing, snorkeling etc? I have researched on the internet, but what is the best price possible so i have an idea when i bargain?

Should you bargin for 5 minutes? How long? How persistant do you really be? I am going to Phuket and want to do things like parasail, jetski, elephant trek and shopping, how much should i expect to pay? I have heard you can get ripped off if you are not good.

Hey, any Thai out there, pls help me with this question.
I will be in Bangkok during the next week. Hopefully I will land at the new airport of Bangkok, the so-called Suvarnabhumi Airport. Does any of you know how far is it from Bangkok downtown?
By the way, I will stay at the Grand Hotel at the address of 20 Ratchadapisek 18, Huay-Kwang, BKK 10310. what is the cheapest way to transfer from the airport to that hotel? Any bus route or express way???
Thanks in advance any help

I know of a couple who are taking an extended vacation (2 Months) in Thailand. One is an American Citizen the other is Europen. I am wondering if they will be able to get out. They are in rural Thailand and no one has been able to contact them.

Neither of them speek any languages of Asia.

I only see people asking questions about going on their vacation into the bombed area. I do not see anyone concerned about getting out.

Does anyone know if there are flights goind out of Bangkok? Do people know if the USA is doing evacuations like they did in Lebanon? What are other countries doing for their citizens?

Thailand's military has seized power from Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra in a bloodless late-night coup, imposing martial law in what they said was a bid to unite the nation after months of political turmoil.

Tanks and heavily-armed troops -- many wearing yellow scarves to show their allegiance to Thailand's revered king -- surrounded Thaksin's office or stood guard at key points throughout the capital of Bangkok.

Bangkok's notoriously congested streets are unusually quiet and commuter trains empty, as heavily-armed Thai soldiers wearing yellow sashes patrolled key intersections.

Beyond the presence of the troops -- sporting yellow out of loyalty to King Bhumibol Adulyadej -- and tanks posted outside government sites, there were few other signs the country has suffered its first military takeover in 15 years.

no demonstrations against the THAI ARMY n MARTIAL LAW imposed at all

this clearly shows that Thaksin is not popular at all
