To claim nobody supports Thaksin is a bit over exaggerated to the point of being laughable. Thaksin still commands tremendous support among the rural folks residing in remote and interior areas across the nation. If an election is held today ,the Thai Rak Thai will be swept back to power.Supporters and sympathizers of Thaksin just like the rest of the masses by and large have deep reverence for their king. And his majesty has already come out openly to endorse the military.Torn between a leader and a King, Thaksin supporters invariably will choose the latter. That explains why Thaksin sympathizer and supporters are keeping a low profile , some even resign to the fact that their leader is a spent force and fast fading into oblivion.
Long Live His Majesty
Thai rak Thai samer.

It's not true that nobody supports him. No one's coming out now, not with the tanks and armed soldiers around. You'll never know what will happen. Just look at the documented facts of previous military coups - The current coup is the 18th since 1932. Most coups in Thailand are fairly non-violent. On the other hand one can never tell – while many coups are non-violent there have been ugly incidents in the past related to political instability. In 1976, between coups, hundreds of students were killed and wounded at Thammasat University in Bangkok by right-wing and vocational students. The last one in 1991 which ended in bloody street clashes in Bangkok in 1992, killing scores of people.

Many Thai people in the countryside do support him, if you go round handing out large banknotes to fairly simple people they seem to like it. Like most politicians he is corrupt and mendacious and hasn't shared out the 'goodies', except with his family and close friends. Democracy in Thailand is alive and well and will prevail. It's irritating to hear Americans from the GWB fan club lecturing on this subject.' nowherema' should realise that the people with the guns are not supporting Thaksin.

i love thaksin. he's a good man and the best P.M. that thailand ever had. and i'm proud to say this.

it's not true that nobody support or like him.

the truth is some people dislike him becuse they loose their benefit ex. some politician, some business man ,some media communication people.
cause by thaksin's project adn policy can make thailand grow bigger adn people can get more education and also get more chance to work or even do a small business.
education can make people more clever.politician or business man, they don't want normal people be clever than them.

many and lots of thai people love him, admire him and respect him.
but it was a media, news that tell only one side. they never showed the fact about people who love and support thaksin, we were and are the silent voice. but we hope that one day thailand and the world will see the truth that thaksin was the best P.M.,thai people ever had.

u don't need to believe me now,but wait and see one day the truth will appear.

if you had a M-16 and a M-60 tanks pointed at you would you say you support him. Once again Thailand shows it doesn't know what democracy means.

Because he's perceived as having looted the country, and the king doesn't seem to like him.
