Have a word with your travel agent and do searches on google to find out the latest news on a daily basis. Only you can decide but see what the options are first as regards refunds on your tickets. I would try to get the money refunded if it was me but if you can't then you need to make sure that you are fully informed from people who are unbiased. I'm sure there is lots of information out here on the state of affairs which will help you decide. Don't let somebody else decide for you-it is ultimately your choice.

welcome to Thailand! It's a good time to come as it is very safe with all the military around safeguarding us all. you have no fear of going around even a t nights ... feel free to walk in the shopping centres and chatuchak weekend market and don't forget to drop in for blessings at the Emerald Buddha's Temple.

Have a great trip!

Don't worry too much. Go ahead and enjoy your holiday. Avoid Bangkok since anything political will happen there (apart fm the aeroport,of course) and travel around. I'm sure you'll have a great time...

Yes. All is back in normal swing of things. Businesses & offices are all open. Coup was bloodless and people/tourists are going about normal business taking photos of tanks and etc. Elections are in October and Thaksin is not expected back from UK soon so your dates should be fine.
