Compare PHILIPPINES and THAILAND?

I guess that that people are unfriendly and try to cheat you more in Philippines? (taxi do not put meter, etc...)
But what about the food? The girls? The beaches?
Is there anything better than in Thailand?

will i be able to use my us bank atm/debit card in thailand?

anyone have any ideas how much thai banks charge? i can use it in the philippines... us bank doesn't charge anything but philippine atms charge $2 per withdrawal. is the exchange rate good or is it better to bring dollars?

The Australian Govt says, that it is not safe to travel to Bangkok. Is this true?

The Govt says that Australians need to reconsider travelling to Bangkok, Thailand becuase of all Terror attacks that are happening. Is the Govt being paranoid or is there a war going on over there, that the Australian media is not telling us about?
