Am travelling to NZL and am having a transit period of 10 hrs in Thailand. Will I get a digicam there? If yes, how costly is electronic goods there compared to other regions in Asia? Also I would appreciate if anyone can tell me If I can enter the country and go around visiting places within that 10 hrs...

I am not as interested in beaches as I am culture. I have been to a lot of beautiful beach areas around the world so, unless it is specifically stellar, I would rather do something else.

Hi I'm going to Thailand Dec 06 & Im quite nervous, never been overseas before, meeting b/f in bankok, traveling to Phuket, then going to Koh Phangan for NYE.

Is the full moon party safe?
I also have a stupid question... Is it ok to walk around in thongs (on my feet I mean) or is it dirty?
Is there any other way to get to Phuket from Bangkok other than airoplane?
Is there anything else I need to know?!

Thankyou!

My girlfriend and I are travelling to Thailand in December / January. We only have 11 days, and after two days in Bangkok we were planning to head either to Angkor Wat or Chang Mai for ~3 days before heading to a beach (probably Krabi / Railay Bay). Does anyone have any thoughts on Angkor Wat vs. Chang Mai.

Thanks!

I am planning a two-week vacation in January 2007. I will be visiting BKK and Phuket for first time. I also intend to have female company throughout my stay in these places. How can i find this opportunity and how much minimal amount I need to 10-day stay. What are the best places to stay in BKK and Phuket so that I can also enjoy night entertainment in addition to visiting historical places.

I will be going to Koh Samet from January 9-16, 2007. Should I book a hotel in advance on the internet or just show up and look for a good place. I want to stay in or very near Hat Saikaew but many of the internet rates seem inflated.
I am willing to pay around $40 US per night for a room. I would prefer a place with a pool but it is not necessary. There will be three adults travelling. We are looking for a room/bungalow that sleeps three. Are my expectations realistic? What do you suggest?
