+ From what I remember of the Climate in
Phuket, the weather conditions are dominated by monsoon winds that blow year round. It is therefore always warm and humid. There are two distinct seasons, rainy and dry. The rainy season begins in May and lasts till October, during which the monsoon blows from the southwest. Hope this helps. See link below that I cut some of the above from (they write so much better than I do)

I would recommend coming from November to July period. September is the exact monsoon month so it's just abt guaranteed rain everyday...but then again you can never be sure about the weather anyway. It's not just the rain, but the seas are choppier so you might miss out on going to the small islands like Koh Phi Phi and Maya Bay, which is a waste because it is the most beautiful when the seas are not choppy. However, rains make it good to go rafting. One good point though, room rates are incredibly cheap in September because of the rains. So if you are just into eating, shopping and just relaxing in a good hotel, go for it! It's great value for money then.

I holidayed in phuket in early oct 2 years ago and it did rail 3 days of the 14 we were there so not a bad strike rate.

the problem is that it so easily could have been the other way around, who knows.

it is a lovely part of the world to visit.

I would highly suggest that you do some of the touristy thing just for the memorie, most of the tours etc are taylored to run even if it is wet, after all they are used to it.

hope that it helps

cheers

If it is anything like this year, it may be wet. But not all day and it's fun anyway. Go.
