True, but there are plenty of tailor shops available in Bangkok for very cheap prices. So you have nothing to worry about, just choose what you like online and take it to the tailors, they'll have it made for you. Easy. Go search online for recommended tailors, im sure you'll come up with one or 2 shops.

It's very difficult to shop for plus sized clothes (especially women). The average woman here is a little more than 5 feet and 100 pounds.

Plus-Size Clothing :
Bangkok has several stores that specialise in plus-size clothing for big size. Head to MBK Centre (sixth floor) or Silom Centre (second floor) - or any of the Central department stores.

It is difficult. I am between a L and XL in the UK, but even a Thai XXL is too tight for me. I was in the US recently and stocked up on clothes; there I am not even considered a big size !

Yep, just about anywhere in Asia and the problem is not just if you are a plus size. If you are tall with long legs or arms you're going to have problems.

You would proably have to shop at a specialty shop to find anything good because their is no market for plus size.

Yes it is true. I have been overseas many times while I have been in the Navy and the problem is that Asian women are of smaller stature. I had several female friends get told in stores overseas that they had to leave because nothing in the store was going to fit them.
