There is an excellent Silver Jewerly shop on the 5th floor of the Platinum Fashion Mall (Mall is near Amari Watergate Hotel - and near World Trade Center). The silver jewlery store is next to an internet shop and had the best prices I could find in bangkok. THey sell it wholesale there - check out www.eternalcrest.com. Don't go to the expensive 'classy' jewlery stores (more expensive) and definately do not go the to tourist-shops that the tour guides take you too. MBK Mall is also OK and relatively cheap.

hI Marie.Well as luck would have it I am in BKK right now on a buying trip for silver and such.what kind of silver are you looking for?What is your market/Looking for rings or chains,broaches ?Charoen krung road is a great area.Take a taxi to soi 43.You will see a big post office there.On the other side there is a place called silverland.They have a huge selection of silver there at good prices.A yellow sign that says WOW just over the door.Lots of other stuffn there too.Stay away from yoo lim.They are really expensive and have high minimums.
Lots of silver shops in Khao san area.
Also Narai Phand by the world trade center.In between mo chit and siam skytrain stns

I use to live on Charoen Krung Rd and use to walk by lots of silver shops... don`t be affraid to walk away after they give you a price... they love to try and make a few extra dollars of us "farengs" as they call us... Don't buy from the first shop too... Make sure you shop around... Hope this helped... Enjoy BKK... it's a awesome city!

not in bangkok because it's expensive there, go to chang mai and ull find some good jewelries at an affordable price
