I am looking for somewhere for me and 3 friends (irish lads 25-28) to spend 2 nights. We want it to be reasonably priced and near the action. Also we don't want to pay extra for bringing guests to our room.
Any ideas?

Hotels of different sizes, facilities and star-ratings are in abundance in Bangkok! It all depends on your budget. Your preferences of reasonably priced, near the action and no extras for bringing guests to room - you can then forget about the international or branded ones (they charged for 'joiners', a good source of revenue here!). Choose the smaller, local ones. NANA district has all you asked for ... and more :-) Have fun!

Just find any hotel in Sukhumvit, Silom area. Those are downtown and surrounded by actions, clubs, restuarants and people and skytrain which will help you easier to travel around.

Try looking on asiarooms.com or any other site. I dont know how much is your budget but in those areas, there are many nice hotel.

Most hotel would ask u to pay extra if you bring a guest with tho. Try Landmark hotel. I heard they dont charge you for having guests over and in a good location and should be a reasonable price.

Guys your age, 2 nights, reasonably priced? You probably want to stay at Nana Hotel, right in the middle of all the action, supposedly clean. costs like USD 30 per night. Plenty of beer bars and disco bars in the area.
Check out bangkok2night.com address below for guest friendly hotels. They may not charge you extra but, might register your "friends" names before you take them up. Better for you since there have been problems with drugging and robbing. Watch out for the Katoey's or ladyboys at the end of Soi 23 or Soi Cowboy, stay away from freelancers at beer bars except for talk.
Check out www.asiarooms.com for room rates. I stay at Emerald Hotel on Ratchadapisek Road. It is a 12-15 minute subway ride from Sukhumvit Road. If you want sex-massage, there are 5 places within a 10 minute walk of the front door of the hotel. These kind of places are open from Noon to about Midnight. Best time to visit around 3 pm to 7 pm for the best looking women. Subway has oil massages. Nataree has soapy massages as does Caesars and I think Emanuelle.

Be mindful that the subway and skytrain cease service around 23:45 so if you are planning on staying out late then stay at a hotel or serviced apartment along Sukhumvit for convenience.

Bangkok2night.com has alot of info about massages, discos, etc.

Have a good time.
