It's open now. I received an e-newsletter from Bangkok Airways reporting the opening. Some airlines have been phasing in flights the past two weeks and 28th of September was the day ALL flights were to operate to/from Suwarnabhumi.

Suvarnabhumi Airport, officially opened on the 28th September 2006. Low key event, without any official ceremony. From local newspapers here, much to be improved!

It is opened already with 800++ flights operated on that day. Great airport for overall rating.

Open now , well kind of , having major problems with leaking roof , shortage of taxis and luggage carousels not working etc , think they opened it a bit too soon ?
