Apparently so, although I think it is limited at the moment to military assistance worth US$ 24 million. I know from outside Thailand what happened didn't look good, but it's very much business as normal here in Bangkok.

The only action was to temporarily suspend USD 24M in military aid that is directed for Anti-Terrorism. All other aid is continuing. It seems like a token gesture at best. If they really wanted to hurt Thailand the US would restrict travel to Thailand or put additional tariffs on good coming from Thailand. It's a joke. The US realizes how corrupt Taksin was.

Yes United States has..apx. 24 million just to start, maybe not the reason of choice but by means of American Laws.United States Law is clear it cant and wont aid any Govt. that's involved in a military coup..Also others will fallow due to the fact a coup is AGAINST International Laws as well..
Some may seem to approve of this event but Laws are written and this one was broken in regards of a coup.

I believe they are just suspending there contributions until a democraticlly controlled government is in place. As long as it is controlled by the military I think it's a good idea. The State dept. did say they look forward to continuing the payments after a democratic government which is elected by the people is in place.

If it is incorrect, why are not John Kerry and Ted Kennedy and each of something of the liberals voicing opposition? Iknow i understand! because of the fact to even advise this way of component because of the fact it would desire to sound like they have been given the assumption from Bush. And that would desire to point they could be giving tacit admission Bush became real with some thing he did. that would desire to be against their mantra.
