Hi! I've been living in Long Beach for a year after living Fresno. I liked Fresno and my parents live there, but it was dull. I moved here because I'm 25 yo, gay, and a surfer. I gave up a really good job that I had for years to move.

LA has been fun, and I enjoy it, but it's a daily struggle with traffic, cost of living, and I'm sensitive to the sun. My living situation has been very good, but I have been having trouble to find a fitting job. As fun as it is in my free time, living here has worn me down.

My old job in Fresno (I was a travel agent) contacted me last week wanting me back with higher pay (than even here) and my seniority. It sounds tempting, but would I want to go back? It was boring, but at least I'd have family, unlike here. And a job I love. But I would miss the fun here and the "scene" I'm only a few hours away, but I can't drive every weekend here. If I stay I feel like I'd keep struggling. If I go, I'd be bored.

Would you you do? Thanks so much

I want to order a chocolate assortment for a friend who is Canadian. I am from the States and not familiar with what would be considered the best chocolate there. I don't want to send them some generic tasting chocolates. I have only come across a few names through googling but hoped someone here could help me. I came across these names...Bernard Callebaut / Rogers / Ganong.

Do we have any Canadian Chocolate experts here who could help me out?

Thanks in advance

Why can't we get RTE Radio and TV in the 6 Counties on "Freeview". (Digital TV/Radio)
My RTE reception in Belfast is pretty crap on TV and Radio only available on Long wave for RTE Radio1, (forget Radio 2).
What happened the Good Friday Agreement? You get all the UK channels...come on boys lets share here.

For the past few weeks, I have been reading extensively the Yahoo! travel section, because my older daughter wants to go on a graduation cruise in the Mediterranean sea next summer. I am thinking not to let her do this. You see the cruise includes Israel as a destination.
I am simply afraid to let her visit this country especially from what I've seen on the TV and from what people have written here, in the Travel section. Do you think I am over-reacting?
Please I'd appreciate some advice from a non-Israeli or Jewish or Arab person. Thank you.

CAIRO — Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert ordered expediting controversial excavations near Al-Maghariba Gate, one of Al-Aqsa Mosque's 14 gates, two days after the Annapolis peace conference, Israeli Haaretz daily revealed on Monday, December 17.
The government has instructed the Israel Antiquities Authorities (IAA) to complete the work "as soon as possible," allocating a total of INS17.5 million ($4 million) to complete the project.

Israeli bulldozers started in February demolishing the wooden bridge leading to Al-Maghariba Gate and two underground rooms, sparking widespread protests from Palestinians, Muslims and international archeological and cultural bodies.

But archeologists warn that leveling the mound upon which the wooden bridge is built would threaten the foundation of Al-Aqsa Mosque Islam's third holiest, and open the way for more Israeli excavations.

Trying to decide where to go on a trip this Summer to experience Latin America. I went to Peru this past Summer, loved it, although since we spent very little time in Lima, there wasn't much exposure to Latin culture. So what's the best place? Mexico, maybe Venezuela?

Brazil also intrigues me, although that's not Latin. Can anyone tell me whether there is a noticeably different vibe in Brazil then in other South American countries? Just wondering. Brazil's high on my list too. Or, you can just tell me what you think the #1 place you'd want to go to in all of South America (plus Mexico and Central America).'

Thanks :)

Las Posadas is a Mexican, or Latin American, Christmas tradition, from December 16-24. Neighbors re-enact Joseph and Mary's search for a place to stay in Bethlehem.

Does anyone know where they're observing Las Posadas in NYC, preferably in Manhattan or Queens?

Playing for 5+ years(since September of 2002) without one,
I know I will hit soon.

When I get my jackpot, I will tell those casino employees that I'd have to be a moron to keep on playing and that there's no way I'm gonna be stupid to just throw it back in the machines. I'll also tell them I'm gonna have fun with my money, I'm gonna spend it on enjoyable things and save the rest and then tell them that I know they want me to keep playing because they want me to think I'm "lucky" and "on fire", but I will tell them that I know that they know that if I keep playing, I will more than likely lose it all back and that's what they secretly want me to do, but that I'm not that stupid and I will walk away with my money.

I bet they rarely hear a lecture like that from a player, but I'm no ordinary person so I will defintiely tell them all that.
