Here you go this came straight from the NY Archdiocese Website:
Ticket Information
The Archdiocese of New York Office of the Papal Visit will be distributing tickets for all events held during the Papal Visit to the Archdiocese. Final ticket distribution information will not be available until after January 1st, 2008.
If you live within the Archdiocese of New York it is anticipated that Mass tickets will be distributed through your parish and Youth Rally tickets will be distributed through the Catholic schools, parish catechetical programs, parish youth groups, etc. The Bishops of neighboring dioceses will receive an allotment of tickets and will distribute them at their discretion.
It is important to note the following:
There will be two public events within The Archdiocese of New York:
The Youth Rally at St. Joseph's Seminary in Yonkers on Saturday afternoon, April 19, 2008, and
The Mass at Yankee Stadium on Sunday, April 20, 2008;
Tickets to all events are free. Any tickets for sale on websites or through ticket brokers are fraudulent;
Individuals who request tickets will be required to provide name, address, and other identifying information;
All tickets are NON-TRANSFERABLE. Adult ticket holders will be required to show government issued photo identification at the entrance to the event. Students will be required to show student identification cards; and
All individuals entering the events will be subject to search by the United States Secret Service, the New York City Police Department, and/or the Yonkers Police Department.
This information will be updated on a regular basis, as well as the information provided via our ticket information line:
Tickets: 212.371.1011 Ext. POPE (7673)
I also found this on another website:
How to request tickets for Pope's Yankee Stadium mass
If you're hoping to secure tickets to the Pope Benedict XVI's April 20, 2008 celebration of mass at Yankee Stadium, you should submit your request in writing, a spokeswoman for the Archdiocese of New York told NewYorkology this morning. The address:
Archdiocese of New York
1011 First Avenue
New York, NY 10022
Attn: 2008 Pope Visit
They did the same thing when the Pope came to St. Louis. I would get your request in NOW!!! When he was here they did like a random drawing thing and people got something like 2 tickets. Another thing you need to think about is getting your hotel room now! Even if you do not have tickets you can cancel the reservation within 48 hours of your stay and not be charged. When the Pope came to STL we put a minimum of a 3 night stay on the rooms, we were sold out 6 months in advance and we charged the highest rate that we could for that room. There were no hotels with rooms for over 60 miles. I would hate for you to get tickets and have no place to stay!
I got this off of the Catholic News Agency Website….you might want to keep checking it for details I am sure that they will keep the site up to date!
