Why can't we get RTE Radio and TV in the 6 Counties on "Freeview". (Digital TV/Radio)
My RTE reception in Belfast is pretty crap on TV and Radio only available on Long wave for RTE Radio1, (forget Radio 2).

RTE isn't fully digital. That's why u can't get it on Freeview.

Move to Derry - we get RTE brilliant here. And all the radio stations.

I don't know what you mean by 'orange' areas but I used to live in East Antrim and coverage was got there with special ariel. But as I said earlier - RTE isn't fully digital so probs with freeview.

Too right! Didn't know you couldn't get good RTE up north.

I live in the west of Ireland, by the way, and don't get the UK channels through terrestrial television.

When I lived in Derry we had very good coverage but that's not what you asked! May I suggest getting a special aerial/satilitte. We only get BBC1 and BBC2 down here because of Sky. We don't have ITV etc. If you want them you have to request a special card from SKY. It's not fair really!!

Why would it be on freeview? In the Republic we have to pay to to get BBC/ITV ETC.
