Travel - 7 November 2007

Me and my friend are going to Vegas (4 days vacation), and we have to go to Aspen after that (to work).
By airplane we're going to spend $130 each to go to denver plus we have to rent a car to go to aspen.
I was searching at mapquest.com and it says it's gonna take 9 hours by car, which is ok because we will save a lot of money.

The problem is, I'm not sure how the roads are, so do you think it's ok to go by car?!
Did you ever try or do you know somebody that did?
It's gonna be in December. (I don't know about the traffic)

I'm interested in relocating from NY to Arizona within a year. I've never been out there, however I know people that relocated and love it. I would like to know any information regarding the Phoenix (surrounding suburb areas). I have 2 boys, ages 4 & 11, would like to know the area with the best schools. I live in the south of ireland on the border of northern ireland. I am still on a provisonal licence. I have been told on many occasions that a southern driver on a provsional licence is not allowed to drive unaccompanied or not at all in northern ireland. does anyone know is there any truth in this ?

I live in Buffalo Grove, IL. I will go to the Chicago O'Hare airport at around 4:00am 12/4/2007 and returning at around 4:00pm 12/11/2007. The average taxi ride cost (toll and tip) around $40 one way. Is there a real cheap way to get there?
I considered drive there too but the parking is going to cost me probably more. Thanks a bundle.
