Take the Q-72 bus at LaGuardia to the last stop (Queens Blvd/63rd Street). Then transfer to the subway (underground) for the "V" train (local) to Manhattan. If you have a MetroCard on you, doing this will cost you $2.00...if you don't, it will cost you $4,00 since you can't use a bus transfer to the subway.
Anyway, stay on the "V" until you get to the 34th Street station. Once you exit the train you will look for signs that say "PATH". You will leave the NYC subway system in that station and then find a different style set of turnstiles and another station for PATH (both services run parallel for a while under 6th Avenue) The fare for PATH is $1.50 and can be either used with a MetroCard or a PATH card.
Look for the train marked "Journal Square" or "JS" or "JSQ"..DO NOT GO on the Hoboken train. Take the Journal Square train 6 stops to the Grove Street station (Jersey City)

Tony's method is correct, but not the quickest. Take the Q33 bus from LaGuardia to the last stop (Roosevelt Avenue/Jackson Heights). Board the Manhattan bound F train (unlike the V the F runs express) and take it to 34st. From there board the PATH train heading to Journal Square. It'll take you to Grove Street.

There are not too many thoughts. you may take a cab to long island Penn Station (thirty fourth St/seventh Av) (approximately $40 5) after which take NJ Transit (N.E. hall line) to Edison station ($9.seventy 5 one way). Or take the M60 bus to one hundred and twenty 5th St/Lenox Av, then take a downtown #2 or 3 prepare (numbers in pink circles) to Penn Station. From there take NJ Transit as indicated above. The fare on the M60 bus is $2.00. in case you purchase a popular MetroCard (minimum purchase $4.00) you will get a loose flow (encoded on the cardboard) to the subway (and go away you with $2.00 nonetheless on the cardboard). in case you pay with the help of money on the bus, then there is no loose flow to the subway (you will could desire to then pay one extra $2.00 to head into the subway) then you definately ought to continually take the cab all a thank you to Edison - in all likelihood value around $a hundred and fifty.00 or so (assuming you will stumble on a cab driving force prepared to head all the way accessible). Too undesirable you're actually not flying into Newark. it may be much less hardship to get to Edison from there. (Newark AirTrain to Newark Airport station after which NJ Transit to Edison).
