Hi

I'm looking for any info and advice the people of Galway can give me on all/every aspect of Galway. I'm flying there from Lancashire, England on 5th November. As yet I have no job, accommodation or contacts. I am applying for jobs but haven't heard anything back yet. I'm going to be staying in a hostel I think for the first week and then just look for a place to rent in a shared house, for money reasons but also for a social life too.

If anyone has any advice they feel the need to pass on about, jobs, rates of pay - I would be looking at graduate work and admin/secretarial, good/safe places to live, best mobile phone provider/contract in fact anything at all that would be great. Or if you just wanna meet up for a drink when I get there that's fine too - LOL

So the hubby and I are thinking of moving to Corona...however he works in the heart of downtown LA. The drive would probably be around 2 hours during rush hour we are thinking?
We've heard about the metrolink.....has anyone ever taken it back and forth from LA and Corona? Your thoughts on that?

But here's the thing.....my husband will park his car at the Corona station, once he gets to LA.....he will need a car to get to appointments. **** Has/Does anyone ever keep a car at a metrolink station in this same idea or keep a car around your destined area for use? How much does it cost to park your car overnight at a metrolink? Do you pay by the hour or is it one set fee? We're not sure where we would be able to park a car overnight and how much that would cost. Any advice would be terrific!

I am arriving in Rome on Nov 2, departing Nov 30. My main interest is shopping(brands and flea mkt) and sightseeing, not into museums that much. So far my plan starts from Rome 3-4 days, Naples 1 day(no stay over), Florence 2, Venice 2, Germany 3, French 4-5, Switzerland 3, Milan 2-3, and back to Rome for my flight. I was thinking to visit Athens, Austria, Netherlands, Belgium, UK, but should I? I was thinking to take eurolines in the evening so I can save more on lodging, is it good? or should I just get eurorail or book a cheap plane ticket now? Did I miss any must visit places/cities for shopping? Any recomm plz, also for the lodging that is safe and cheap for I am travelling alone, if any. And, from each places I plan to visit, what things should I buy? Thx.

In November my family and I are going on a cruise, and 2 of the ports of call I have never visited. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on fun things to do there, or what the area is like, etc. The two ports of call are Grand Turk ( Bahamas? ) and Puerto Rico. Thanks!

I feel embarassed and usually I just let it slide. Usually they're being proud about knowing the word, so I don't want to hurt their feelings.

Some of them say it so blatantly wrong though, really stressing the "MAN" part: roMANji.

It's kind of surprising how many people find that "n" that's not in the word "romaji". Sort of like how so many people say "sherbert" instead of "sherbet". That mysterious "r" that appears for the illiterate.

It sort of reminds me of the people who write "definately" instead of "definitely" in English.

For our godson's graduation present, we're taking him and his siblings on a Disney cruise. There will be 10 of us and we would like to surprise him with a stretch limo to pick us up at the airport to drive us to the port.

We're moving. My wife and I are wedding photographers and are planning to set up our business in Birmingham. We'd like to live in a nice quiet, safe area with good public transport, cheap housing (if there's such a thing) and things to do/see. Interested in hiking, photography, nature, art and history.

Can you suggest a comfortable hotel in Amiens, France? I like a big breakfast, but nothing too expensive please - there are six in the family staying a couple of nights in November. Near the train station would be a bonus; easy parking would be good too. Thanks.
