So the hubby and I are thinking of moving to Corona...however he works in the heart of downtown LA. The drive would probably be around 2 hours during rush hour we are thinking?
We've heard about the metrolink.....has anyone ever taken it back and forth from LA and Corona? Your thoughts on that?

But here's the thing.....my husband will park his car at the Corona station, once he gets to LA.....he will need a car to get to appointments. **** Has/Does anyone ever keep a car at a metrolink station in this same idea or keep a car around your destined area for use? How much does it cost to park your car overnight at a metrolink? Do you pay by the hour or is it one set fee? We're not sure where we would be able to park a car overnight and how much that would cost. Any advice would be terrific!

here a better idea, yes you can take metrolink
(get a monthy pass the bus would also be on vaild on the local transit services both in Los Angeles and Corona
as for leaving a car heres a better idea
there
is this service called Flexcar (whiich just happens to have a location at Union station)
flexcar is sort like renting a car by the hour, but the neat
thing
but they pay for the gas, insurance etc
that way you dont have to have an extra car
see http://www,flexcar.com for more (info
(check out Los Angeles location they at least
7 cars in or around union stations

so you hubby can drive to the Corona metrolink -take
metrolink to Los Angeles tehn pick up a flexcar which
you have reseverd

If you have an extra car find out from his employer if he or others can keep the car close by and how much (if anything) is might cost. That way maybe others may help with the cost to keep a car handy in downtown. And share the car. That way he can ride the Metro and always have a car available. We did that years ago, but the employer had a parking lot that we could use for free. It worked out great.

All the info you could ever want on the Metrolink:

As for moving to Corona; good idea. It will be a little cheaper I suppose at least.
