What is the cheapest motel on the Las Vegas strip that has a swimming pool? I've been there before and stayed at the cheapest motel possible. This time I want to get some exercise so I think I'll spend a little extra for a motel with a swimming pool. I definitely want a motel on the strip or a short (half hour) walking distance from the strip.

If you had to spend 2 days at the beach in Viet Nam, would you choose Nha Trang on the west coast or the southern island of Phu Quoc? Price isn't an issue. Thanks!

If so, do you feel you need to take shower after riding Bart? Everytime I take Bart I smell B.O. They are starting to rip out the carpet and replace with vinly flooring. They should consider replacing the fabric seats with plastic seats. You figure with the high costs in fares you'd think they would be able to afford these changes.

I'm heading to Vegas for my birthday the weekend after Labor Day and we were thinking about getting some VIP passes to clubs off ebay. Has anyone tried these? Do they work? I know Vegas.com sells them, but we're trying to do this trip on the cheap if possible.

Thanks!!

I guess I could ask an English-teaching-in-law but I don't want this to just be about helping him out. I LOVE books and want to start a charity --or at least get some ppl together to send books to Morocco. Where could I send them? I am primarily studying languages and linguistics and this is of great interest to me. I heard about a group Books for Africa a few years back but since I have a connection to Morocco I would really like to help out there. Personally, I find it hard to give up my books but I have tons of magazines and would be willing to buy books and or collect them to send them off. Can anybody help me? I have been thinking about this seriously for the last couple of weeks (while I wasn't online -- and catching up with my reading lol).

Thanks,
FEZ

I am curious about how most LA residents perceive their city these days. Since the massive influx of immigrants from Mexico began during the last decade, what does LA seem like to you? When you go to malls, restaurants, office buildings, etc. do you notice that you see a lot more diversity now? Has racial tension become worse in the city? Are Whites and Asians moving out? Where do Black people fit into this equation? Are most people angry about the influx of Hispanics or mostly pretty laid back about the whole issue? I wonder, bc I'm moving out to LA in a month or so and wonder what the social dynamic of the city is like. Is it really, really segregated? If I live in San Gabriel Valley, does that mean I'm only going to see one ethnic group? Does LA still feel "American" or does it feel almost like an extension of Mexico these days?

We are in Viet Nam for only 12 days and really want to see Angkor Wat, Cambodia while we are in that part of the world. I am planning the following itinerary while in Viet Nam - is it even possible? Please don't tell me that I should take more time because I can't, just let me know if this particular 2 day/1 night trip is feasible.

Day 1 - Late afternoon flight (leave btw 4pm-7pm) from HCMC to Siem Reap. Hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 2 - See sunrise at Angkor Wat, rent bikes and tour temples for about 6-8 hours, depending on heat, interest level, etc. Late afternoon flight (leave btw 4pm-8pm) from Siem Reap to Ha Noi

Can anyone recommend if that is even possible? Thank you!!

My husband and I have one night in Niagara for our honeymoon. He loves seafood so I would like to go with him to a place with good seafood but some romantic ambiance. If it has a view of the falls, all the better.

An apartment on the smaller side -- not fancy -- I am talking about an apartment the average Moroccan would be happy to own as a first apartment. One/two rooms

I realize there are all types of ranges but I'm thinking of something on the smaller (cheaper lol) range as we will not be living there all year and may rent it out while we aren't there....and inshallah move on to something bigger or better eventually.

DH has asked people what they are going for now but I wanted to ask people on here too. If there are more details you need to know please ask and I'll add them tomorrow inshallah -I haven't been feeling well so I haven't been on here but I feel a little better today so inshallah I'll feel even better tomorrow. :)

Cities --any of these: Rabat, Agadir, Fes, Meknes, Tetouan, Tangier, Marrakesh....you get the picture.
Choukrane!
