What is the cheapest motel on the Las Vegas strip that has a swimming pool? I've been there before and stayed at the cheapest motel possible. This time I want to get some exercise so I think I'll spend a little extra for a motel with a swimming pool. I definitely want a motel on the strip or a short (half hour) walking distance from the strip.

Imperial Palace is another hotel that has a pool, right between Harahs and The Flamingo.

Price compares with Circus Circus and the Stratosphere usually has just a little better price depending on the dates, although it is on the far north side of the strip.

Imperial Palace has a nice location in center strip.

Good luck and have fun

The Excalibur is one of the cheapest hotels on the Strip and it has a good pool and has good rooms. I really like its location and the price is right. Sometimes you can also get a good deal at Luxor which also has a pool and is a step above the Excalibur. I find the best deals for Vegas on Travelocity and then I check the individual hotel's websites to see if they have better prices. I also sign up for special email deals on the websites and have received some offers for Mandalay Bay for $89/night which is an incredibly good deal.

By the way, a lot of people on Yahoo Answers are going to tell you that the Excalibur is a lousy place and you should stay at Bellagio or Caesars. I've stayed at the Excalibur several times and have always gotten good rooms that are clean, normal hotel rooms with comfortable beds and good air conditioning. The staff at the Excalibur is also considerate and helpful and the location is phenomenal.

Room rates in LV are not set, they rise and fall dramatically.

Saving money on a room has more to do with timing than anything. Avoid special events, large conventions & weekends to save big bucks.

"Generally" the Stratosphere has the best room rates on the strip, and it's a much nicer hotel than any of the others that are even close in price(Circus Circus, Riviera, Sahara, Tropicana, etc)
http://www.stratospherehotel.com >they are offering a special right now too.

Both of these are just off the strip. 1.1 miles West of the strip on Flamingo is the Gold Coast. The Orleans is a little over a mile West of the strip on Tropicana. Both have free shuttles to the strip & to each other
http://www.orleanscasino.com >you can access both from this site. These are usually 2 of the best value hotels.

All of the above hotels will "price match" if you can find a better rate for their hotel online, they will match that price. In my experience, when they don't already have the best price, the reservation agent will check while they have you on the phone, it takes less than a minute.

a good site to check for LV room rates

or you can make use of this site, they use travelaxe which compares 15 or so of the top discout travel sites.

This travelodge is on the south strip and has a modest pool. It doesn't look too bad.
