I'm heading to Vegas for my birthday the weekend after Labor Day and we were thinking about getting some VIP passes to clubs off ebay. Has anyone tried these? Do they work? I know Vegas.com sells them, but we're trying to do this trip on the cheap if possible.

well the cheapest way to get club passes is asking the cab driver most cabbies has passes almost to all night club. 1st check the passes expired . some cabbies sell them some cabbie give them away if u tip him good .
best night club passes cabbies have is ( light night club @ the Bellagio)

Yes they work, but honestly calling the club ahead of time will work too.
Also most of these VIP passes are just a line pass (that means you skip the line outside) not an actual pass to get into the VIP area.

OK...here's the deal with VIP passes...
VIP passes will get you into a separate line from the non-pass holders. VIP passes will either get you into the club at no charge or at least discounted...PROVIDED there is no 'special event' happening, which they don't always post in advance. And remember, they do NOT entitle you to access to the VIP areas, just access to the club.
I've had good experiences with some clubs, and not so good at others.

There's no reason they should not work. If the seller has a high rating, they are most likely safe to trust (negative feedback is really not good for sellers on e-bay, and you'd have a legitimate fraud claim if they didn't work). Just make sure you carefully note the actual dates they are honored; many of them will not work during weekends as that is considered prime period, and "Sunday through Thursday only excluding holiday weekends" coupons are common.
Also, if you want cheap, check lasvegas.craigslist.org. There, locals might have them for sale even cheaper, and you could just contact a seller and pick them up when you arrive.

caution
used to work for verizon cell phones and so many horror stories when purchase a phone on line.

if you go into www.expedia.com, go under activities. put the dates you will be there. they offer VIP tickets for $115.00, amount other good offers. they are pretty reliabe
