Aloha kman,
I agree with both Gloria and Tommy answers. However, Dog the Bounty Hunter is just smart in what he does. I like how he and his family carries the aloha spirit. I like how he shows respects to the locals. I like how he understands how the locals think, feel and speaks. Dog Chapman always admitted on his show he had a tough past life. So he's giving back by wanting to help mentor these people what he's gone through. For him and his family to be Christians and pray before going out and scout the ones whom ditched bail, I think is really positive. For him to mentor to the ones he catches is really an inspiration. I'm proud he's in Hawaii. One of the reasons that makes our home Islands ugly is illegal drug activity and prostitution. It's so sad seeing it affect our Island, our family and friends so bad. We also have neighborhoods throughout my home Island (Oahu) coming together in combine with Honolulu Police & our City and County of Honolulu to get rid of drug pushers, drug sellers, crime, prostitution and any suspicious activity. I know this for a fact because the neighborhood I grew up (around Chinatown, Honolulu) is doing a fantastic job helping to keep away all this illegal activity. It's called Weed and Seed. Weed and Seed is backed with Federal law. Weed and Seed means you remove the bad to bring back the good. The good is: mentoring, introducing positive programs within that neighborhood and just making the neighborhood safe again. Honestly both my parents and handfuls of our neighbors have volunteered themselves to this. Now going back to Dog Chapman. I'm just glad he's making a difference on our home Island. With me being a Hawaiian and a local it makes me wonder if he and his Ohana (family) gets respect from many locals. If I ran into him I would shake his hand and thank him. On top of that I'm proud many neighborhoods consisting of thousands and thousands of local residents have stepped to the plate in volunteering themselves and be a part of Weed and Seed. We are tired of this disrespect of our Island. We are tired of seeing our own family members, friends and neighborhoods get tied up with illegal drugs/activity, prostitution or any criminal activity. Sadly our keiki (kids) got to grow up seeing this. Hawaii has sadly drastically changed through out the years.
Aloha to you!!!
