Hi,

I am planning to have a 2 or 3 weeks getaway to Canada in the summer. I know for sure that I will be flying to Vancouver, BC as my port of entry. I really want to go to see the Canadian Rockies. I heard people saying Lake O'Hara in BC, some say Banff in AB. What are the 'must-visit' places in that area?

Also, should I drive (rent a car), ride a train, or fly? I might want to continue eastward to Montreal/Toronto after the rockies. Please help me. Thanks!

I'm planning to move to Vancouver this June. I've heard a lot of good stories about the city. I'm a nature lover, and I'm not really into nightlife activities such as clubbing etc, well, except for cozy pub/piano bar. I'm a culinary student, and I've heard Van has nice restaurants.
So, I'm kinda looking for a peaceful place to live in.

in a country where you absolutely don't know anyone, but know the language used? You have enough funds to get to that place, but once you are there, you would immediately have to look for work. I'm interested to know as I am about to take the biggest risk of doing just that and hopefully a net will appear as I take that leap. In addition, I have no more family here (no more parents & am an only child) basically, I'm out on my own, have my friends but they also have their own families already (we rarely see each other). There's really nothing much more here for me, that's why I'm free to move around. I've just turned 30 and I just believe that a person can only prepare so much and then you'd just have to jump in even if you don't know what's out there. Last yr I tried to travel on my own also to places where I didn't know anyone. Thank God I survived! I've studied the country where I want to go to next. I'm heading to Europe definitely where the grass is much greener.

My friend is a U.S citizen and would like to take a trip to Barbados later this year. Could credit scores, late bills, not filing taxes, felonies etc....prevent him from getting a passport?

So Americans drink coffee like there's no tomorrow, and it is the stereotype of Britain that they are big on tea, but how popular is coffee (including espresso drinks) in the England?

I really appreciate your honest responses; as an american planning on studying in London, I want to fit in and learn as much about British culture and traditions as possible. Thanks! ;)

I'm a 26 year-old single girl, and I want a fresh start. Do people recommend Melbourne or Perth as the better suburb? I want to be somewhere with plenty of cafes (that are still open after 5pm!) and good restaurants, things to do, nice walking/riding tracks, and good-looking men! :-)

i live in scotland, me and my partner want to emigrate to austrailia next year we have decided on adelaide due to the weather and lifestyle, i am an a and e nurse and my partner is a car valeter how easy will finding employment be? (i plan on looking before we go) and are rental properties easy to come by? we will only need a 1 bedroom and we are not going to be fussy the first year, but are there any areas to avoid living in? also i will seek employment at a hospital but i dont drive will public transport be a problem? and lastley with regards to visas will it be easier for us both to get a visa if we are married, we have been happily living together for 8 years but would rather put our money into traveling than a wedding. Thanks for any advice
cheers :)
