My boyfriend is very stressed out with his job and wants to go on holiday to Greece. No tacky tourist destinations. Nice weather. With beach (not pebbled, please.) Relaxation is a must.

But where to go? I'm finding it surprisingly difficult to find much easily digestible information as there are so many possible destinations. I'm very concerned about picking an area and finding it heaving with nightclubs and tourist tack. I really don't want that!

Can anyone recommend somewhere?

BRAIN OF A Lebanese:

This is not a story but a true incident that happened in USA .

A Lebanese man walked into a bank in New York City one day and
asked for the loan officer.

He told the loan officer that he was going to Lebanon on
business for two weeks and needed to borrow $5,000.

The bank officer told him that the bank would need some form of
security for the loan. The Lebanese man handed over the keys to
a new Ferrari parked on the street in front of the bank. He produced the
title and everything checked out.

The loan officer agreed to accept the car as collateral for the loan.

The bank's president and its officers all enjoyed a good laugh at the
Lebanese for using a $250,000 Ferrari as collateral against a $5,000
loan!

An employee of the bank then drove the Ferrari into the bank's underground garage and parked it
there.

Two weeks later, the Lebanese returned, repaid the $5,000 and the interest, which came to $15.41.

The loan officer said, "Sir, we are very happy to have had your business, and this transaction has worked out very nicely, but we are a little puzzled. While you were away, we checked you out and found that you are a multi millionaire.

What puzzles us is, why you would bother to borrow $5,000"

The Lebanese replied: "Where else in New York City can I park my car for two weeks for only $15.41 and expect it to be there when I return'"

I REALLY want to get a job on cruise ship, but I can't figure out how. I don't see anywhere in the US where they are holding interviews and only a few that are even accepting resumes! Any information/advice/help/jobs that anyone can offer would be wonderful!

Why many people ask the same stupid questions over and over regarding visas and passport. Are the consulats/embassies not listed on any phone books?
These people have usually better informed than anyone, since they represent the countries that people want to visit.

I was wondering as a local of Dubia (or if you aren't a local but have noticed these things) that tourists and expats have forced locals to band together as a nation (nationalism).
Before, you all went about your own things but now there are 'outsiders' you seem to stick up more for your own locals/community?

my assignment is on tourism media and its impact on nationalism in Dubai.

Help, i'm really wanted to go on a hawaii cruise 1st wk of June, between Jun 1st-10th unfortunately our vacation days are not flexible. It's really hard for us to ask any days off at all. I was in New Orleans twice for New Years Eve.... Both times I remember going to this great place that had a great variety of N'awlins style dishes! I think the place had a name of a woman maybe? And I thought it had some slave connection or tunnels or something? It was definitely in the french quarter and I think it was on a corner..... I have searched sites like yelp.com and can't find it!
