I was in New Orleans twice for New Years Eve.... Both times I remember going to this great place that had a great variety of N'awlins style dishes! I think the place had a name of a woman maybe? And I thought it had some slave connection or tunnels or something? It was definitely in the french quarter and I think it was on a corner..... I have searched sites like yelp.com and can't find it! Please help!!!! Thanks!

Based on the that list that Barry posted...
Was it the "Original Pierre Maspero's" restaurant at the corner of Chartres and Saint Louis - across the street from the courthouse (large white marble building)?
The building was originally a slave market.
This must be the place! I was mistaken about the woman's name! Sorry! Thanks all!
