I'm not sure what the rules are at the moment, but if you can join Bellco Credit Union, I highly recommend it. They have no fees whatsover for most of their checking account services - no monthly fee ($25 minimum), no ATM fees at quite a few ATMs (not just their own) and great online access. Wells Fargo is terrible. I opened a free checking/savings with 1st Bank. I get free internet banking and bill pay(I believe you have to sign up for paperless or you pay like $3 month) They also gave me a line of credit of $1000 as overdraft protection at an extremely low interest rate. Internet banking is easy and the customer service is all local if you ever need to call.

I can only tell you the worst & that would be Wells FArgo. They & their so called customer service is a nightmare. YOu are simply a number to them of course unless you have a 6 figure bank acct. with them.
