Travel - 15 April 2007

My Fiancé and I are taking a road trip to Thunder Bay Canada. It will take us two days and no doubt we shall stop off at a motel along the way. I have been to many, many hotels and they all have towels. Do motels have towels too or should I pack them?

I have some food, $132, some clothes, a membership card to 24hour fitness (showers), a bus pass, some pens and a notebook. Anything I forgot? BTW this is not permanent, I just need some time to myself for...a while.

One problem-I have 3 pet mice I can't trust to my parents. Once I left my mom with them and two days later the waterbottle was empty and there was no food. What about them?

Next week I fly to Brisbane for the first time on business. I land there first thing on Wednesday morning. I have to stay up all day so I can quickly get adjusted from the jet lag and it's the only day that I'll be able to go see anything there.
This will be my first time there so if anyone has any recommendation as to what to go see that day I would appreciate it.

I graduate high school in four weeks and I plan on moving this summer, I live in Florida and I really want to make my way up to New York, somewhere in New York City. I hate it here. I live in a Hell hole. Are apartments expensive there? Im going to need to work obviously. I need help all around, tips and any information anyone can possibly give me about moving and what I can do to sustain myself. This is the begining of my life and I dont plan on living some half assed lack luster existence. If New York isnt a good local perhaps someone can tell me of some other amazing places I can go to. I'm going to japan this summer and spending about a week with a host family in Iwateken (specificaly Kitakami). I was wondering what there is to do in Iwate as far as sightseeing, tourist attractions, and other attention drawing things.

Also does anyone have any tips about Iwate or Japan in general? Anything would be helpful. Including what to bring as omiage for my host family and some do's and don'ts.

I love to go on weekend trips with my 10 yr old son and sometimes a 3rd person. I usually stay in a hotel using Priceline but I thought a pop up camper or other small camper would be more fun with building a fire at night and meeting other campers,etc. I would probably want a campground with showers since I would prefer not to get too expensive a camper having a shower.
