You just go to the automobile association in Australia to apply. You need your license, the fee and a passport photo.

You can bring your International Driver's License with you - but you will still have to go to the nearest Ministry of transport office if you're going to be here for more than a few months. You may need a few lessons just to reinforce left and right turns and driving on the other side of the road.

You can give up your aussie licence get a licence in Canada. When you leave get your aussie licence back. Take a few lessons . i had some bad rides with people used to driving in the UK and countries
