Sharia laws are for muslims alone and has no legal effect whatsoever on non muslims. Malaysia tries to practice a more moderate form of Islam. Not easy these days as the radical conservatives seem to be louder.
Prostitution is not legal in Malaysia but as all countries, it is virtually impossible to stamp out the oldest profession. Alchoholic drinks are for the non muslims only. Yeah there are some muslims who also indulge in drinking but they are very much in the minority.

1. Malaysia has no sharia law. Even where they claim they practice sharia (family affairs and certain private affairs of Muslims) they don't. In sharia father cannot compel his daughter into marriage but in Malaysia can. In sharia an adulterer won't get away with a fine and an apostate would be executed.
2. Prostitution is not allowed. It is illegal. I won't say it's not present though.
3. Alcohol is allowed for non-Muslims. That's how it should be. It's not the fault of Malaysians if some Arab tourists can't keep themselves under control and 'go wild' when they come to Malaysia. Muslims caught drinking won't be given 80 lashes but they will be detained and preached by religious authorities.
4. In sharia system there are certain laws that solely concern Muslims - for example family affairs and prohibitions exclusive for Muslims (like alcohol, pork). And there are also some general guidelines imposed on non-Muslims, such as don't rape, don't kill, don't steel, don't rob etc. But anyway, which religion allows that? Again I stress that Malaysia doesn't practice shariah.

Syariah Law only applies to Malaysian Muslims.
Alcoholic drinks are available for the non-muslim consumers. Some muslims do consume alcoholic drinks as well, which ever part of the world- this is happening too. Nevertheless, this is a matter between a person and his God. So lets leave it that way.
Prostitutions are illegal but available. Flesh trade is the oldest trade of all.. In a neighbouring country, flesh trade is legal to protect their locals from being raped by the foreigners. All men has needs especially those being away from loved ones for many years..Flesh trade is a channel for these men to fulfill those needs. If it didnt stop rape from happening, at least it lessens it.. I do admit, local guys do frequent these places.. especially those with mental handicaps, incapable of being responsible ever in life..

1. WHAT IS SHARIA
What does " Sharia Law" mean? In whatever way we define the word "Law" it ultimately means the logical application of conscience. The word "Sharia" literally means "the path on sand created by camels walking to water-spots" but spiritually it means guidance. Islam initially revolutionized women's rights by taking the first steps in that desert society by banning female-infanticide, preventing forcing of women into unwanted marriages, allowing women to retain their fathers' names after marriage, permitting women to be witnesses (albeit their testimony counted as half of a man's) and establishing their ownership rights to property and their income. All of these advances in women's rights occurred in the Middle East when Europe was in the midst of the Dark Ages.
Sharia laws were created to rule the vast expanding Muslim empire after 200 years of Prophet's death. In the 7-8th century, disciples of four Islamic jurists codified the laws in their four respective Masters' names according to their personal understanding of the Qura'an and Prophet's examples. Thus the term "Fiqh" emerged, which literally means human understanding. Their codification is divided in two sections: Hudud and Ta'zir. The word Hudud comes from Hadd, which means limit. The Hudud laws are mostly penal and include stoning to death or cutting hands of thieves. These are considered beyond human authority to change. As Mawdudi, the father of modern Political Islam notes:
"Where an explicit command of God or His Prophet already exists, no Muslim leader or legislature, or any religious scholar can form an independent judgment not even all the Muslims of the world put together, have any right to make least alteration to it".
Islamic Law and Constitution - Maolana Mawdudi.
Sharia Laws are Only for muslim my friend.!!!

outline "Morally incorrect" Whose morals are we wronging the following? i think all of us who can derive any morality about the challenge of ingesting is someone with too a lot time and in no way sufficient interest being paid to them. once you imagine that in circumstances lengthy handed by technique of, ingesting beer replaced into safer than ingesting the water in a lot of places, and also that alcohol has been round for millennia, then I an suffering to make certain at what consider our heritage this grew to develop into an affront to all of us. As I sit the following, I truly have a form of red wine next to me, and they say that ingesting a pitcher an afternoon is amazingly sturdy for you. So i think no guilt, and no-you may ever recent a logical argument that ought to convince me to modify my recommendations. definite there are human beings obtainable who can discover fault with some thing and each little thing, yet as you are able to discover from the image on my 360 web page (link less than) there are those who deem the computing device morally incorrect, and get in contact with it a homo devil device... ?Temperamental? makes some valid factors about the outcome alcohol has on the body, notwithstanding the body can conflict through likewise from human beings entering into negative environments. Is it morally incorrect to climb a severe mountain previous the point the position the oxygen thins? Is it morally incorrect to deep sea dive? this stuff can influence the body and psychological procedure in only an identical way, and also they're voluntary, so why do human beings draw a line with alcohol? definite it really is stupid to flow out and drink a lot that someone ought to take earnings of you, notwithstanding it really is stupidity, no longer morally incorrect. i imagine certain prudes look on the social "lubricating" consequences of drink, and see human beings having exciting on the decrease back of being comfortable, and because that they're so uptight and in no way had that exciting, they blame the drink. i'm positive in categorising those who ought to call ingesting "morally incorrect" as severe misfits with negative social skills and a warped concept device... fingers up all those human beings? ;-)

Syariah laws only apply to the Muslim and not to the Non-Muslim people of Malaysia. Eventhough it is off-limit to the Muslim, many Muslim DO engaged in prostitution but under heavy cover. Some operates in apartments. I do know of some Muslim who consumed alcoholic drinks and PORK away from the public eyes!!! Sneaky but true!!!
Some corrupted police personnel who on the pretext on raiding pubs and bars do drink inside the private rooms with social escorts entertaining them. This is common but some turn a blink eye to it and pretend not to see.
