I have a 5yr visitors Visa to the US and would like to work this summer so I will need a working permit. Do I need to apply for a working Visa? or is it possible to apply for a working permit to attach to my visitors VISA? I need to know urgently as VIsa applications take really long and I would like to be in teh states by the end of May.

I wonder what kind of clothes should I pack ( I am coming from Europe ) and what's the winter like there up in North Qld.
Could I swim or is the water too cold?
Is it goo d to sunbathe?
Last but not least, is Palm Cove a very lively place to be? What could I do as for shopping, restaurants etc.?

Hi,

I applied for my us passport back in feb 5th and it has been 10 weeks and i still haven't recieved my passport yet. I am traveling in 3 weeks. Anybody have any suggestions what i have to do to get my passport on time? Has any body missed a trip because of it. What are the steps i should take to have them expedite the process?

My mother in law is only spanish-speaking and she has a cross country flight with 2 layovers in July that we need to get her on. We are flying from another city separately and will meet her at the final destination to help her find her luggage, etc. However, we are concerned with the need for her to find her way through the airport, check-in, get off the plane and find her connecting flight, etc. We are trying to call flights and ask if they have someone that can guide her around, or may even exaggerate that she has a disability to see if we can get the help necessary. Has anyone dealt with this before and can give me any tips?? Thanks!

I am a university student in Turkey. Next year 2008 january i will go to ISCTE/ Lisbon by Erasmus program. Through the whole period i stay in Lisbon and in ISCTE they say that there is no dormitories. But i was wondering, if I start living in an apartment on my own, can I able to meet Portugese people and interact multi-culturally more? Can I enjoy Lisbon just like my own country with my friends?

I'm going to be driving from Philly to Los Angeles this summer and want to see the country. From strange things (largest ball of yard) to historical places to just cool places to stop. So far in my journey I will be stopping in the Chicago area to visit some family. Let me know where you think I should stop. Also, I don't plan on staying in one place too long (a few hours at the most) - the stops are more of a break in driving than anything else.

Hi, myself my partner and two children would like to move to California U.S.A. I am disabled only have one leg and have no real qualifications to shout about but am looking at getting a bit of compensation money, as i wont have alot to offer apart from financial security i am sure that i would find it a struggle to get accepted. My girlfriend and I are thinking about moving into washington heights but are concerned with the neighborhood. We would be around 181st street. The streets look a little rought but I heard it was safe just dont be stupid. I know the college's in Mumbai,India but is it a PRIVATE college?What's the qualification to be there?High and strict ones or just average?Before I've been to the college site but I didn't get what I was looking for,hope someone can answer me here without giving websites..even if it's not precise,I really really appreciate it.So the summarized q's of mines are:
