contact the phone number and e-mail address shown below to arrange expediting. if it gets too close for comfort, contact the passport agent where you applied - they may be able to e-mail the passport center through their own resources, but keep trying the e-mail and phone first - it will take persistance to get through

We ended up having to go to the Passport office in Chicago 2 days before our trip and spending the entire day there to get our passport. It was a nightmare. We had allowed the recommended time for processing. Call the 800 number to get your status( you may be on hold for 1 hour) They have been working weekends so that may be a good time to call. Your Congressman may be able to help expedite as well.

Call you local House Rep and have them rattle a few cages on your behalf, they should be able to either get the information for you, I doubt they can expedite the passport but they may be able to.

Paying x-tra for the rush service, and also paying for the postage for that rush service which is kind of expensive, but in the end worth it. You end up having the passport in a few days rather than in many weeks.

I am in the same boat. Except I applied Jan. 25 and we leave on April 28. We are almost to our 2 week mark, and I am starting to panick. I did however contact my congressman, a lady in his office is supposed to be helping me. Keeping my fingers crossed....hoping I still get to go to Cancun....
