The main destination is Portland, OR but my mother, dog, and I need to move somewhere closer beforehand. Like Louisville, KY or Austin, TX. Specifically, I am wondering what the atmosphere is like for displaced New Yorkers in Louisville and Austin. We need a place that's got an animal loving community, a music scene, some good eats and crafts, tolerance of alternative/pagan spiritual beliefs, and rains more than once a year. (Access to casinos and/or a place where one can bartend would also be nice.)

I was on a cruise last year and one of the islands we visited was Grenada. I loved it there and think I might like to go back for a longer stay. Any and all suggestions about places to stay/things to do are welcome.

*warning - silly question from uninformed foreigner coming up*

Is Great Britain the same as the United Kingdom? Is it a country? England, Scotland & Wales are countries (?), but in the papers they say that "one in 10 Brits leaves the country" (which country?) Shouldn't those three be provinces of GB? If not, what makes them countries, apart from their flags and rugby teams :)

Help,

Forgive-my-ignorance

We will have a 5 hours flight with our 2 month old baby. Where will baby lay down during the flight?
We want to avoid taking Maxi Cosi Cabrio into the plane as sitting on it for long hours is not good for her back.
Can we take the Maxi Cosi Dreami into the cabin?
Does anybody have any experience about Dreami in the plane?

If the Palestinians undoubtedly believe that Palestine for them and Israelis are certain God has donated this land to them! How to end the conflict?

*************
Hi moneymaker, thanks for your nice answer, you told me that I insulted the Israelis IQ…. Olmert is my example? You read what he said yesterday!!!!!!?????.
Also, I want you to go back to your answer "question of the land of Palestine" and read it again, and tell me where the answer is exactly, I am not criticizing, but really you have not write any thing useful, you need more practice in (( arguing)) as you call it.
*************
Hay love the neighbor, thank u for being so nice in your answers!!!!!! But something draws my attention in your last answer, you said """you want to live in Palestine or you want to make fun of """"
Well, you are not doing me a favor by allowing me to stay in my country; it is my country, my father country, I born there and I will die there. The other thing, do you think it is funny to talk about hundreds of people killed by Israel, funny to talk about ten million Palestinians rights, funny to talk about bloody massacres and daily bloodbaths don by Israel……

Well, yesterday I posted a question about moving to the UK from Italy, where I'm from.Almost all the answers I got suggested not doing it.I lived in London for one year and I know some pros and cons about life there but I was really surprised to get so many people to tell me to stay here in Italy.Unfortunately the reason why I would move is because I can't find a job here where I live.I just thought it was easier maybe there.Do really so many people wish to move out the UK?Why?

My husband and I may be moving to the Denver area and we are looking for advice. We would like an area close to DIA, a young community with kids (we have a one year old), good shopping and restaurants, good people, low crime, good schools...just a good community in general. Any suggestions would be very helpful! Thanks!

I don't know weather to wash the dish or fight with my tita to let her wash the dish. Dapat ako nalang hugasan ng plato. But since I don't live with her, she probably will wash it. But I always wash my own dish and other peoples dish because that's my way. So I guess she will tell me to leave it because she will wash it. Do you think if I wash my dish fast enough that she will not tell me to leave it? Somtimes, even though my titas have maid or helpers, I still want to wash my dish. Should I fight with them so I can wash my dish?

One denies the holocaust and would like to kill millions of Israelis, whilst the other has denied that HIV is the genesis of AIDS, thereby killing millions of his own people who bought into that strange hogwash.

On the occasion of a question formed as wht we,Greeks, should do in order to improve our tourism and some answers given on it I decided to open this topic.I read "You cater for everyone, please keep it like tht".I would say "Please keep being the same victims we are used to consider you as".They said"you steal foreigners with your high taxis in your dealing with them".We are a small country who is trying to develop mostly by tourism..That is why we the stupid ones are trying to learn foreign languages a point tht foreigners think as a must and they demand it from local people..We are paying our Euros to visit your country..We are paying hundreds of Euros hundreds of hours wasted in classes learning your languages every year...A fourth-month period in the British Council is payed with more than 900€..And wht is written on the receipt is tht we give the money for charities In England..Because yes,England need charities a lot.So who are the suckers?????????
