While you are travelling from an indian destination, already you have the valid ticket to reach till south africa (1 ticket to reach bahrain, another to reach until you final destinatin - south africa)

so you dont require any transit visa in bahrain,

but make sure you cant able to go out of airport, your airline will take care if you have more than 6 hrs break in journey at bahrain international airport, you may be provided with hotel accomation too.

If in case you want to go outside the airport, (depends you visit inside bahrain may satisfy the immigration authority) you may obtain 24 hrs visit visa @ BD 5/- (US$ 13.5/- Approx), you have to submit you passport in the immigration. You should report the airport 3 hrs before the flight takeoff

changing flights in bahrain so easy, that while getting in Bahrain international airport, follow the fellow passengers until they reach immigration counters, there you will find the transit passengers counter, the airport staff is pleased to help you.

wish you a happy bon voyage

Transit passengers holding a confirmed outbound ticket does not require visa, even if you stay for one day/night. The carrier will take care about this matter.

Wish you a pleasant trip.
