I've been invited on referral to house-sit in Cambridge next month. I know absolutely nothing about the area. Would it be a safe place for a single woman alone? I have no friends/relatives and would be there for 2-3weeks.

Are there areas to avoid? Anything I should know before I agree to the job?

Thank you

18 yr old male, Multi-lingual in, english, spanish, some arabic, some french.

Looking to move to Dubai, have some money saved up. What I want to know is, how much should I expect to pay rent for a studio or 1bedroom apartment, at the cheapest and where.

Resident visa, and work permit related information would also be great, Im an American.

Jobs; how hard should I expect it to be! Doesnt matter where, could be washing plates at a local restaurant or a paper pusher.

Vehicle, what sort of documents would I probably need to be able to purchase a vehicle and register it for road travel.

Thank ya'll in advance!

The flights and hotels will cost us about the same. We've never been to Canada or Oregon, and my husband and I want to do something really special together before I am shipped off into the military (we'll be living apart for 14 months).

Has anyone been to either place or both? What activities would you recommend for this time of year, and where do you recommend staying? We'd like to see the city but also have a romantic dinner or cruise, have some drinks, etc. We can't necessarily afford the nicest hotel, so please recommend places with different price ranges.

This is not a personal attack or anything.
I looked into your profile and saw you didn't allow any direct messages so I thought I'd post it.
I've been seeing alot of negative opinions from you about Japan and it looks like you hate it there.

I know, sorry for putting you in the spotlight and all but I was going nuts to know.....why you went to Japan in the first place.
I'm guessing that you researched and decided to go because you liked what you saw. But now that you're there you hate it and want to move out. I just wanted to know. What happened??

Not criticzing you or anything so don't take it the wrong way dude.

It is better to use a big raincoat that protects your head? Or a water proof hat? What is the best option for you?

The most original (but useful) gets 10 points!

Us Americans "ate eight million more orders of french fries, almost six million more hamburgers, and five million more servings of fried chicken nuggets this year compared to last"

Yet us Americans "spend $33 billion per year to lose weight"

Us Americans have about 4 times the amount of people that England has, yet about 200 times the amount of gun murder.

Us Americans are one of the major conributers to global warming.

What do you think about America? Who are we? What makes us so different?
