Us Americans "ate eight million more orders of french fries, almost six million more hamburgers, and five million more servings of fried chicken nuggets this year compared to last"

Yet us Americans "spend $33 billion per year to lose weight"

Us Americans have about 4 times the amount of people that England has, yet about 200 times the amount of gun murder.

Us Americans are one of the major conributers to global warming.

What do you think about America? Who are we? What makes us so different?

My feelings on America? Crazy as it may seem, I feel safer living in a Communist country (China). I do not worry about walking 20 minutes home from the club at 4am by myself on any night...and I live in a city of 7 million people. I feel healthier even though I live in a city with heavy partical pollution. The difference is I have less job stress, eat better food (China loves veggies and fruits), and get more excercise because public transportation is very good and I walk more to get to and from the bus stop. I can actually afford to see the doctor here. I even had an MRI for the equivalent of $100 American.

well, I am American and I never eat fast food (except pizza!) I have energy efficient appliances and take the bus. I also went around my college classroom today collecting old papers from the other students and feel terrific about the amount I got recycled. so not all Americans are what you describe.
