They all Lying to you. The best thing to use is the Metro Newspaper its for Free and the Ink doesn't run, and you dont have to worry about losing it. But after that i would have to go with the big raincoat.

Just a normal coat with a hood, then walk till you hit the first pub and have a drink and wait for the rain to calm down.

It won't really help but I have been there for three weeks last september and it didn't rain once... call me lucky or maybe it just that London is not SO rainy after all.... lol
