There are many nice places in the U.S. to visit. It really depends on what your interests are and what time of the year you are travelling. Many of the more popular places will of course be busier and perhaps costlier depending upon the time of year. If you are interested in natural beauty and history, I would recommend the Midwest. Prices will be lower than the more noted vacation sites. Wisconsin has many great attractions, "House on the rocks" (preview can be seen on the net) "Wisconsin dells" "A world fishing museum" lumber jack shows, circus museum, "The domes" in Milwaukee and so much more. Great fishing can also be found in Wisconsin and most all with in short travel time. Other Midwest states offer their own unique attractions and they are too many to name.
