It has an amazing geographical setting, cosmopolitan culture, and delicious food. You just have to be a millionaire to buy any real estate there :(

I love San Francisco and would consider it among the greatest cities in the US. I, personally, would rank it in the Top 5 and, depending on the day, my #1. I just love it there.

I think the USA has a number of really great cities, and San Francisco is certainly on the list. Pretty good climate, educated population, good bus and subway system, very good restaurants, pretty good arts community, and low unemployment. Cost of living is WAY high, and that's a big negative.

No. Chicago, New York, Denver, Dallas, Orlando, La Jolla, LA, Tucson, Portland, and Charleston are all slightly better. So San Fran is a great city, but not one of the greatest.

Yeah, it's right up there with New York, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Boston, Washington, Portland, and Seattle...you know, what the religious conservatives in this country like to call "The Axis of Evil"

No. It's filthy (like all big cities), well most of it is.
I think it's fine if you go visit there once in a while, and of course you love it if you live there, but I visit about once a week, and it's nothing special.
