He went hiking along and fell into a crevice. He was there for a few days, I think, and ended up having to either break his arm or amputate. He had one package of some type of food and had to drink his own urine to survive. He was a very experienced hiker but did not tell anyone his whereabouts this time.

Road Trip From Texas To Snow???

My boyfriend and I are planning on traveling to Texas for Christmas... but after staying with the family and such we kinda want to break free and drive a little further up north to see snow. We will have aprox. 3 days before we have to be back in Miami. Does anyone have any sugestions of cool places to visit or stay?? The main objective is to take our Akita to see snow.... she could use a little cold weather as we have been torturing her here in Florida. How far north would we have to drive?? Ohh also.. any cool haunted sights on the way??

What is the name of the Brooklyn neighborhood that includes East Third Street between Ave. I and J?

I grew up, and my parents still live, on East Third Street in Brooklyn, which is between Avenues I and J.

We have spent (literally) hours with the Encyclopedia of the City of New York trying to identify the "official" designation of our neighborhood, but the boundaries of every possible candidate seem to end short of it. (We have checked Borough Park, Midwood, Flatbush, Gravesend, Kensington, Lakeville, Parkville and others.)

How much cash to bring on a cruise???

My Fiance and I are going on a 4 night Royal Caribbean Cruise in a couple weeks, (our first) and I am not sure how much money to bring. We are moderate drinkers (about 4-6 for the whole day) and will probably spend a couple hundred in the casino, I don't really know how much alcoholic beverages are, and have not yet planned on purchasing any excursions (they didn't seem to interest me, as I live in Florida already and have done most of the beacy type stuff) We were planning on about $1000.00 for both of us?? Does this seem doable???

What is it going to take to turn things around in South Africa?

What will it really take for the situation to change - for this beautiful country to become somewhere safe and wonderful that we can recommend to our friends as a brilliant place for a holiday - or to become a great place to live and raise a family again?
As far as I can see, as long as people go around saying
"Sure there's crime BUT"
nothing will ever change! Only when there's this deep realisation that things cannot go on as they are - and a deep anger at what things have become - and people are willing to stand up and refuse to take it for another second - only then can it change.
