(I also posted this under Languages---sorry) I was an exchange student in Japan. I found out that the teacher whose class I was visiting just had his mother die. I'm supposed to send him a card in Japanese, but I don't know what to write.

I am planning a trip to las vegas. I have a few questions. First of all I am trying to do this as cheap as possible. Keep that in mind.

A freind said they have huge cockroaches everywhere and if you don't stay at a super fancy hotel they are gaurenteed to be in your room. Is this true?

Is is possible to not rent a car while here? What if I only need to make it from the airport to the hotel, As long as my hotel is on or near the strip would I be ok with walking the entire time?

Can any one recommend some good cheap BUT NICE hotels?

Is there anything else that I should know?

Does anyone know any good websites for booking cheap trips?
