My boyfriend and I are planning on traveling to Texas for Christmas... but after staying with the family and such we kinda want to break free and drive a little further up north to see snow. We will have aprox. 3 days before we have to be back in Miami. Does anyone have any sugestions of cool places to visit or stay?? The main objective is to take our Akita to see snow.... she could use a little cold weather as we have been torturing her here in Florida. How far north would we have to drive?? Ohh also.. any cool haunted sights on the way??

Northern New Mexico, like near Taos already has snow. And great skiing too!!!!! Not too far away, check your map and see how long it would take. AWESOME to visit!

The Mountains of NM may be the closest. Tx and OK generally dont get snow, but on that rare occasion. We do see some ice.

Just watch the weather forcasts before leaving and be open to going anywhere.

i does no longer bypass by Montana. you'd be extra useful off going from Idaho to Oregon to WA. Yah the mountain passes can get quite undesirable at circumstances. yet Truck Drivers do all of it the time. purely be prepared and examine the passes and roads previously you go away contained in the morning. it really is a lengthy vacation although.

Hey, how's it going? Well, it will depend on where in Texas you are. You have to realize that Texas is ginormous. So, it depends on where in Texas you are. CO isn't too far away, as compared to other places. So, where in TX will you be?
