I understand that Amsterdam, Holland has a large network of free public urinals for men - but very few public toilets for women. Isn't that unfair to women? And discriminatory?

I am hoping to go on a trip to Ireland sometime next year and would like to take my toddler (he'll be 3 in May). Would a guided tour or a self-drive trip be better? I've always been one to do things on my own, but I'm a little concerned with a little one in tow, esp if it's just him and me. So any suggestions on what areas are toddler-friendly, what type of trip would tend to work better, etc. would be great!

I'm looking for a website that lets me see what genuine locals have to say about their area. Don't want listings, just observations.

Anyone?
